Daryl Hall and John Oates In Concert!

Here’s a great way to spend Sunday: listening to some classic Daryl Hall and John Oates music, like this live version of their classic hit “She’s Gone!”

Alex and I went to see the duo in 2017 in Los Angeles – a packed house of fans gathered to hear all of the classic hits as well as some really terrific album tracks as well:

Luckily, we were on the floor in front of the stage, second row – so we got a great view of Daryl and John performing – and they have such a great camaraderie on stage:

Of course, the crowd goes crazy when they perform “She’s Gone”, and here is Daryle explaining a bit of when they wrote it – and the success that followed.

Here is their live version from Staples Center in Los Angeles from 2017:

They continue to perform live around the world, and it’s a great night of music.

Of course, they were the biggest-selling duo of the 80’s thanks to songs like “Maneater”, “One On One”, “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)” and many more, but some of their best songs are almost completely unknown…case in point:

Yes, the great song “Portable Radio” from the “X-Static” album is just one example of terrific album cuts that could have been hits! Here is a list of some of my favorites, with music videos:

By the way, as great as H&O were in concert, the opening act was also phenomenal!

Yes, Tears For Fears put on a 90-minute show that was outstanding – a slew of great hits like “Shout” and “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”- you can see some clips here:

Let me know if you’ve seen the boys in concert!
