Talk About A Love Of Music!
Paul McCartney just keeps on rocking! I think this picture sums up perfect why I admire Paul McCartney so much – he LOVES to make music!
At an age when most of his contemporaries are doing “greatest hits” tours – and releasing very little new music of ANY importance, “Macca” keeps writing and recording music, and you know what? He’s just released one of his best albums in decades!
“NEW” Music!
Paul McCartney has released his latest CD, and it’s full of fresh, new sounds – plus all of the Macca music you’ve come to love over the years. It’s a mix of mid-tempo pop, ballads and melody-infused slices of life – but guess what? It’s got a modern sound and a fresh feel – as McCartney keeps creating a body of work for the ages!
“Queenie Eye”‘s Superstar Cameos!
The latest single from the CD is “Queenie Eye”, which has a Beatles feel from the “Magical Mystery Tour” era, with just a touch of “Band On The Run” as well – and yes, that’s the highest compliment you can give it! Here’s the STAR-STUDDED music video for the latest hit, “Queenie Eye – wait until you see some of the faces who pop up in this video!
Now THAT’S a collection of well known faces, all enjoying the music…Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Chris Pine among many, many others…in fact, “NEW” is full of great songs, a collection of consistently strong music that is getting McCartney his best reviews in years!
“Everybody Out There” Live!
McCartney has been performing relentlessly to promote the CD. Here is a live version of one of the album’s best songs, “Everybody Out There”:
As you can see, he just loves to perform, and his voice sounds great! The songs are catchy, focused, and his band has been with him long enough to help drive the music forward…it’s a really strong CD of new music – kudos Paul!
This music reminds me of his early days solo, with Linda by his side, telling stories with strong melodies. catchy hooks and honest lyrics…Linda was an incredible influence on his music, and if you listen to his early solo work, you not only hear her doing background vocals, but you feel how much she grounded him…and raised the quality of his music.
All these years later, Paul just keeps at it – and Linda’s spirit will always live on…
here is the story I posted about Macca’s brilliant “RAM” – his only solo album credited to both Paul and Linda McCartney:
Read all about the tumultuous recording – and vicious catfight with John Lennon – that permeates the album, by clicking here:
There is SO much great McCartney music to listen to over and over…and now some great music to join the list!
