We begin with “The Blood And Thunder Shocker Of The Year!”
Severin Films has done it again, rescuing one of Australia’s greatest sci-fi thrillers from obscurity – here is the trailer:
“Hunting Is The Sport! People Are The Prey!”
Brian Trenchard-Smith’s outrageous futuristic gore-fest imagines an Australian government concentration-extermination camp, run by the sadistic Michael Craig and Roger Ward, where jaded rich folk come to hunt human prey!
The film stars Steve Railsback, best known for “The Stunt Man”, and Olivia Hussey, star of “Romeo & Juliet!”
The music is by the “Mad Max” veteran Brian May and now this classic slice of “Ozploitation” is back in a big way!

Wake in Fright is the story of John Grant, a bonded teacher who arrives in the rough outback mining town of Bundanyabba planning to stay overnight before catching the plane to Sydney. But his one night stretches to five and he plunges headlong toward his own destruction.

The movie had been out of circulation for decades because the negative went missing, sparking an international search. After a ten-year quest veteran Australian producer Anthony Buckley finally tracked it down in mid-2004 in a Pittsburgh warehouse, inside a shipping container marked “For Destruction”.
