Time To Talk About Films That Made You Love The Movies!
My blogging friend Caz, from Letsgotothemovies.com, just posted a great idea – to get together on a Blogathon to celebrate the movie that make us love film forever!
“Making Him An Offer He Can’t Refuse!”
As you can see, Don Corleone is listening closely as I explain what this is all about…or, better yet, here is how Caz describes this terrific upcoming Blogathon:
“We all have that one truly special film, the one that really made your love for film and cinema so deep. I thought it would be a fantastic idea to share this with each other and it could really create some positive thoughts and discussion.
The film does not have to be the greatest ever made, just the one that you relate to as your biggest influence in terms of loving film and cinema! I have had this idea for quite a while now and after so many negative comments and attitudes on Twitter recently I felt we all needed do think positively about the films we love!”
I love this, and I love “The Godfather”, so it’s a match made in heaven!
For me, “The Godfather” is the most influential film of my life – a masterpiece that I can watch over and over, and for this upcoming Blogathon, I will be digging into the film to share great stories about the making of a masterpiece.
When Does This All Unspool?
You’ve got a little time to come up with a film and your plan to present it.
The dates for the Blogathon are April 19th-22nd – and my contribution will break down some of the most incredible anecdotes about the greatest film ever made: “The Godfather.”
What do I mean by “incredible anecdotes?” Well, here’s a tease:
That’s right: Actor Robert Duvall held Marlon Brando’s dialogue on cue cards during some of the filmmaking because “The Godfather” refused to learn his lines!
Oh, and there are more, many more…
I will share everything from the recipe for Clemens’s meatballs, to the real story about the severed horse’s head!
Thanks to Caz for bringing this Blogathon to my attention – she has a terrific blog about film and theater from London.
Read more about the upcoming blogathon and take part like I am – here is her blog post giving more details on how to take part:
